Shashi now is a city of Jingzhou in Hubei Province, located in the urban area in the east, the north shore of the Yangtze River.

Shashi has a long history. In the history of China's Spring and Autumn Period, Shashi has become a port of the capital of Chu. Urban famous ancient ruins of Buddhist shrines Chapter Temple was built in the Yuan Dynasty, the riverside wanshou pagoda was built in Ming dynasty. Other attractions are Jigongshan cultural sites, ZHOU Liang Yu-qiao cultural sites, the Spring and Autumn Period patriotic poet Qu Yuan has lived in the Jiangdu palace. Shashi and adjacent areas have famous history and culture of the ancient city of Jingzhou City for 411 years and has all the ancient capital JiNan city of Chu.
